ON MARCH 28, THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE GREEN CROSS AWARDS TOOK PLACE. DEPUTY GENERAL DIRECTOR OF ALPHARM TATIANA LITVINOVA PRESENTED A REPORT ABOUT RUSSIA’S PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET.

On March 28, a press conference was held in the media center of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta. It was dedicated to the III International Pharmaceutical Award Green Cross. The press conference was attended by Garik Tadevosyan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Green Cross Award; Tatiana Litvinova, Deputy Director General of Alpha Research & Marketing.

Tatyana said that the volume of the pharmaceutical market in Russia amounted to one trillion 127 billion rubles, or approximately 5.3 billion packages.

  “While 250,000 babies are born every day according to the UN, about eight pharmacies were opened daily in 2016, according to Alpha. The Central Federal District is leading among the regions, with 28%. Far Eastern Federal District has the least percentage of pharmacy outlets, approximately 4%. The number of pharmacy outlets increased by about 4%, or 2.5 thousand of pharmacies in the end of 2015 compared to the end of 2016. As for the types of pharmacy chains in the Russian Federation, the local pharmacy chains lead with the number of 18 thousand outlets, followed by local pharmacies, then federal and individual pharmacies, and regional pharmacy chains close the list <...> Tyumen Region leads with the average purchase amount of 645 rubles, and Karachayevo-Circassian Republic ( 85th region) is the last, with the average purchase amount of 222 rubles”.
