As it became known to PhV, the pharmacy chain Implozia is considering buying the Classica network represented by 166 pharmacies in Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet.
In early August, the regional newspaper Samarskoye Obozrenie reported on a possible deal that would allegedly be carried out through the repurchase of Classica’s debts. However, the largest creditors Sia Group and CV Protek have not confirmed PhV’s information. Implozia chain’s Director of marketing Mikhail Sentsov refrained from commenting. PhV’s sources report that negotiations are under way, but they are about selling without debts. The Director of Classica Alexander Shirekov gave no answer to PhV’s questions.
The pharmacy chain Classica was not going strong recently. According to AlphaRM, its market share has declined over the past six months. If by the end of 2016 it occupied 0.85% of the market, in the first half of the year this figure was just 0.6%. The number of pharmacies also decreased from 184 to 177. The chain’s turnover amounted to 8.7 billion rubles in 2016.
The chain is run by several LLCs, the main owner of which is Vyacheslav Shterkel. The media call him a business partner of a Chelyabinsk businessman, State Duma deputy Oleg Kolesnikov. However, the latter was not the owner of the network; only Alexandra Olegovna Kolesnikova is listed among the former owners. In November 2016, Vyacheslav Shterkel was fined for consistently delaying wages at another enterprise, which he partially owned and controlled, Ural Moloko LLC.
The main legal entities managing the Classica are Apteka Classica LLC (Chelyabinsk), Apteka Classica EK LLC (Ekaterinburg), Apteka Classica TM LLC (Tyumen, now there are no such pharmacies in this city). As reported by PhV, all three companies began the proceedings for bankruptcy in the arbitration court in June and July. The total amount of debts that are being collected through the court in 2017 exceeded 350 million rubles. The main creditors are the SIA Group that tried to collect about 140 million rubles by court proceedings, and the company Katren that has one claim for 115.8 million rubles. According to CV Protek, Classica owes them 77 million rubles.
“As we are now suing the suppliers, we do not get direct shipments of goods,” Alexander Shirekov explained earlier. “I can’t meet all the creditors’ demands, and I have to file a bankruptcy petition as a general director. Now the procedure is completed, we are just waiting for the decision of the arbitration court.”
It should be noted that the pharmacy chain Classica is active in social networks, its pages are constantly updated, and the questions of its official website visitors are also promptly answered.
