The share of direct contracts between manufacturers and pharmacies in 2017 was about 5%

The retail pharmacy market for the first seven months of 2017 amounted to 633 billion rubles in the final consumer prices.

This was stated by Anna Ermolaeva, general director of AlphaRM analytical company, during the conference “Direct contract: everyone wins!”

In manufacturers’ prices, the volume of the retail market for the first seven months of this year amounted to 412 billion rubles, while the same result in the distributors’ prices is up to 503 billion rubles. The share of direct contracts between manufacturers and pharmacies was about 5%.

The volume of the public segment market in manufacturers’ prices for the first seven months amounted to 165 billion rubles, and in wholesale prices to 196 billion rubles.

At the conference, participants complained that there not enough analytics concerning marketing contracts. “According to the estimates of the analytical departments of Bionica-Media, the total value of such contracts amounted to about 35 billion rubles in 2016. Manufacturers and pharmacies used 21 types of marketing activities in their work. This amount is about 70% of the budgets on TV advertizing,” commented the director of the Institute of Public Health Development Yuri Krestinsky.
